The Pit Beef sandwich is one of the best you'll ever have. Tender beef cooked perfectly with a great char flavor. Don't forget the tiger sauce.

Get the raven sub--or anything with the amazing corned beef! add tons of onions and the horsey "tiger sauce" from the fixins bar.

Small scruffy joint but pit beef sandwich 10/10 great flavour on the meat and very moist. Turkey sandwich was tender and tasty too. All the bbq condiments you could want.

The pork BBQ sandwich was delicious. Homemade Mac and cheese and Beans were great. Check it out if you're ever in Baltimore.

A lot of food for a very reasonable price. Great service. Friendly employees. Try the Tiger Sauce even if you don't like horseradish. I don't but the sauce was fantastic.

Very good pit beef. The house BBQ was pretty weird, but everything else was fantastic. Bring some ones and hit up the strip club. Tipping with beef not recommended.

If you eat outside watch out for the wind tunnel, I have been there twice and stuff was blowing all over the place on us both times...the food is WELL worth it...GREAT smokey flavor.

Everything is amazing. If the line is too long DO NOT hold the door open or prepare to be yelled at. Either you're in or you're out. The RichWich will not disappoint.

  • Naptown .

Guy Fieri stops by, and it always turns a local's favorite into a mob scene for tourists. But Chaps serves up one of the best traditional Balmore Pit Beef sandwiches in the area.

  • Rachel N.

Guy's Triple-D sub is dump-your-girlfriend good. Don't be intimidated by the huge amount of meat. Get it rare, put nothing on it and enjoy one of the best sandwiches this girl has ever had.

  • Mark N.

Try the Pit Beef - Pit Beef Sandwich @ Chaps (via @Foodspotting)

The Richwich has the perfect combination of beef, sausage, and turkey. Get it with tiger and house sauce, and you're good to go.

Great local find, if a bit difficult to order considering their multiple offers. Everyone was super nice, though.

Know what you want before you get to the cashier. They are fast and don't have time for you to pussyfoot around on your order. Be prepared to wait in line.

  • David M.

This place was awesome! I'd warn families that it is not in the best area, bit the food was worth it! The Raven with their horse radish sauce is incredible!

Best sandwiches ever!!! If you're in Baltimore you have to make your way here!!! The Richwich is off the charts!!!

  • Gracie F. heart icon on user image

The pulled pork BBQ was good, but way too much BBQ sauce. It overtook the sandwich and flavor of the pork. Was also barely warm..fries were great. I don't see the hype tho. Average at best.

  • Don O.

Get "the raven" I ordered the pit beef and my wife had he Raven and hers was the best

  • Tom M.

The 'tiger sauce' is a combo of horseradish and mayo, often unlabeled in an unsuspecting squeeze bottle. It's a must-add to any sandwich on the menu!

Whatever you do, make sure you put some fresh horseradish on your sandwich...but be forewarned, it's really strong (as it should be).

  • Dan D.

Over the top BBQ joint. My favorite is the Rachel (Corned Beef, Swiss, Cole Slaw, 1,000 Island)

  • Gabriel h.

The raven is awesome.but anything any one says try...u should try.THE BEST pit anything in town

  • Cortney B.

The food is great, but the drink sell selection is seriously lacking, and I take offense anytime a place lists iced tea as an option and it's just the chemical syrup crap from the fountain. Fail.

  • AJamiestarr

Bbq sauce horseradish sweet chili relish add "oomph"to a great sandwich!the loaded tater salad and 1/2 n1/2 are great!
